What is Kiwi?

Kiwi is a digital locking system that allows us to centrally manage all doors via the online portal. You can then have local access using an app or transponder to open the doors.

If your building has these types of locks, rest assured that we will be sending you all instructions on how to use the app and this system before your move in day.

How does Kiwi work?

To access your building and all doors with a Kiwi fob before you reach your flat, please press the transponder once, wait for the beep and open the door.

To access your apartment door, turn the doorknob once, wait for the red light, press the transponder once and wait for a green light to open your door.

Why is the transponder blinking?

The lights on the transponder indicate what mode it is in:

  • Green blink once: This is the “Press mode” which means you are good to go!
  • Green blink 3x: “Proximity mode”. You will need to click the transponder three times rapidly to return to “Press mode”.
  • Red blink: Very uncommon but you can inform us and explain the issue (along with your transponder ID number) so that we can contact Kiwi support
  • No blink at all: “Out of battery” mode. Just let us know and we will replace it for you.

If you encounter any issues and need our help, please create a Help Request through our Member's Portal or your Habyt App.
