How Does the Cleaning Work?

Habyt handles the cleaning of the communal areas such as elevator, hallways, stairwells, and general cleaning of the Community Space, if your building has one.

As for the flat and the rooms, this depends on the location you chose to move into and the conditions in your contract:

  • Some apartments do not have a cleaning service. We highly recommend talking to your flatmates to come to a cleaning arrangement. Some decide to split responsibilities and create schedules, while others prefer hiring a private cleaning service.
  • There are some apartments that have a weekly or biweekly light cleaning service which may apply to either common areas only or common areas and rooms. It is, however, everyone’s responsibility to keep their space clean and tidy, especially shared areas.

In Singapore & Hong Kong, unless otherwise agreed upon in your lease, weekly cleaning is included for every apartment. It would cover general cleaning of common areas (living room, balconies, shared bathrooms, dining and kitchen), including mopping of floors, trash removal, kitchenware washing, etc. For those staying in a Studio apartment, your entire apartment will be cleaned. 

Cleaning of bedrooms are available upon request, and at a charge. To request this additional service, please submit a ticket  through our Member's Portal or your Habyt App.
