Are There House Rules Around Cleaning?

Modified on Fri, 12 Jul at 2:45 PM

Tenants in each apartment are welcome to design their own cleaning agreements as long as the apartment remains tidy and no inventory is damaged.

We highly recommend airing out each space twice a day for at least twenty minutes by completely opening the windows. This prevents stuffiness and mold.

From our experience with our co-living members, we can share with you some best practices:

  • Sweep weekly
  • Mop the floors weekly or biweekly
  • Wash sink and toilet every two days
  • Clean out the fridge once a week
  • Wipe down kitchen surfaces after each use, and additionally at least once a week
  • The trash should be taken out when it’s full, or at least once a week, whichever comes first
  • Hang the curtain outside the tub after showering to prevent discoloring

Keep in mind that keeping the units clean is your responsibility, therefore you should ensure a clean state of the apartment at all times.
