Who has access to the flat and how will I find out about visits?

Besides flatmates and their guests, it is important to keep in mind that some external visits are expected:

  • Cleaning staff: Every time someone moves out, the turnover cleaning will take place in the free room. We will send you an email informing you of the move-out as a reminder. Our cleaning staff also accesses your flat if you have a weekly/biweekly cleaning service included. This cleaning takes place on a fixed day. You can expect our staff to access the apartment at any time on that day.
  • Technical staff: Sometimes our technicians need to attend to damages inside the apartments. This could be a response to an issue you or your flatmates reported to us but it could also be damage coming from a neighboring apartment that may cause issues in your flat. We will of course provide a timely notice by email or phone calls before accessing the flat. 

  • Facility managers: As Landlord, both Habyt and its agents are entitled to view the property in the event of sufficient cause. In case of emergencies, for example, we may need to access the flat without notice since it poses a definite danger, and managers need to examine and conduct necessary counter measures.
